An Eight-Week Mind-Body Skills Group for Women
Mindful Midlife Medicine
Resource | Regulate | Restore
A virtual circle for women navigating the menopause transition — where current neuroscience meets ancient wisdom meets the body that brought you here.
Something is asking for your attention.
Maybe it's the anxiety you've never had before. The 3am wakings. The hot flashes that came out of nowhere. The grief you can't quite name. The sense that your body is speaking a language no one taught you to read.
Maybe nothing dramatic is happening, only the quiet noticing that this season of your life is asking something of you that the rest of your life didn't ask.
You're not broken. You're not behind. You're not the only one.
There is a circle being held for women like you.
An eight-week circle, held with care, rooted in science and story.
Mindful Midlife Medicine is a virtual group where women come together to understand what is happening in their bodies during the menopause transition — biologically, emotionally, relationally — and to learn practices that meet that experience with care.
We meet weekly on Zoom for two hours, in cohorts of six to twelve women. Each session combines current neuroscience with experiential practice and structured peer support in a talking-circle format.
This is not therapy. It is not medical care. It is the kind of work that has been done in circle for as long as women have been gathering, translated into the language and the science of now.
Resource
Phase 1: Weeks 1-3
We begin by getting to know the body that brought you here; its biology, its wisdom, its current state. We meet the practices that will travel with us through the whole arc.
Regulate
Phase 2: Weeks 4-6
With a foundation in place, we turn to the practices that meet difficulty in real time. Neurosteroids and the anxiety surge. The gut-brain axis. The emotions of midlife: grief, rage, longing, and the unexpected ones
Restore
Phase 3: Weeks 7-8
We complete the arc with practices that integrate body and breath, and with the closing initiation and the recognition that this transition is, among other things, a second initiation into a different kind of authority.
